New Delhi: Schools in Delhi and the other four countries reopened from Monday after the surge in Covid cases had caused their closure in December.
Physical class for grade 9 to 12 continued today in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Odisha and Bihar.
In Delhi, the class for nurseries to standard 8 will continue on February 14.
Deputy Deputy Minister Delhi Manish Sisodia announced that the online class for students will also continue in the national capital.
This center last week said that districts with a lower level of participation than 5 percent can reopen schools, but decisions will rest with the state government.
Noting that the situation of the pandemic has increased and there has been a consistent decline in the new Covid-19 case, members of Niti Aayog (Health) V K Paul have said, “We have more confidence now to go towards the school reopen”.
The schools in Delhi were briefly reopened before being closed again on December 28 last year given the third wave of Covid-19 driven by the Omicron variant.
On Sundays, Delhi reported 1,410 new Covid-19 cases with a level of participants decreased to 2.4 percent.
