British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who said that on Thursday he would resign, he would hold a big wedding to mark his marriage to Carrie’s wife at the residence of his official Checker State at the end of this month, The Mirror reported.
Johnson, who will remain a leader until the new prime minister is elected, remains in part to hold a “luxury” party, The Mirror reports, quoting senior sources that are not named from the conservative party Johnson.
Asked about the report, a spokesman for Downing Street said: “The prime minister has a strong task and will continue to serve his country until a new leader already exists, solely to continue his obligations to the public.”
