‘Recently, Chappell called up Shastri..’: Former India fielding coach reveals conversation between two India ex-coaches

R Sridhar left his role as coach of Indian Fielding after seven years in a position after the T20 World Cup last month. Sridhar, whose term of office saw India made an extraordinary increase in field standards, was replaced by t dilip in roles.

Sridhar is the core part of the coach of coach Ravi Shastri because the team reached an unforgettable achievement at home and tour. In an interview, the former coach of Fielding Open to his time in the Indian team and praised the “resilience” side and attitude that never died.

The term Sridhar coincides with the victory of the extraordinary Twin-Test series in Australia, as well as an impressive party event in the English test earlier this year. While the team did not win the ICC trophy in Sridhar’s tenure, India enjoyed a star victory in all game formats.

“It was an extraordinary opportunity to learn. For me, as a coach, a bad day is a great training opportunity. Good days are not a great training opportunity but bad days are,” said Sridhar PTI.

“When I say training opportunities, it’s about understanding that person, striking good relationships with the players, the opportunity to train technically and mentally if needed.

“You can know about players and teams. Basically how you are on a bad day, say what you as a team. This team is extraordinary in terms of resilience.”

The former Indian Fielding coach also remembers the conversation between former Indian coach Greg Chappell and Shastri, where Australia praised the last on his ability to direct a comebacks.

“Recently, Greg Chappell called and asked Ravi Bhai,” How did you rise again after so many losses. “It’s a benchmark for this team. Every day a bad thing is used, like a gold mine,” Sridhar said.

Indian coaching staff saw the whisk after the T20 World Cup this year, with Ravi Shastri left the role after completing his tenure. The former Indian captain Rahul Dravid replaced Shastri in role, and made the early winning with T20 and Victory test series over New Zealand.
