Priyanka Maurya, a face of Congress’ ‘Ladki Hun, Lad Sakti Hun (I am young lady, I can battle)’ crusade in Uttar Pradesh, is probably going to join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), as per news office ANI. This comes days after she was denied a pass to challenge in the Uttar Pradesh gathering decisions, following which she affirmed “inconsistencies in the ticket appropriation” process.
Maurya was available at the BJP office in Lucknow on Wednesday. During the visit, she was found out if she would join the party to which she reacted saying, “Likely, yes. I have worked a great deal in the field yet ticket appropriation was pre-arranged. I was not given a ticket, yet I was a meriting competitor,” ANI cited her as saying.
“‘Ladki Hun, Lad Sakti Hu’ is a trademark yet Congress didn’t allow me an opportunity to battle,” she further said.
On January 15 after the Congress delivered its first rundown of 150 applicants which included 50 ladies, Maurya blamed a party functionary for requesting that she pay cash for a ticket. She likewise referred to the party as “enemies of ladies and against OBC.”
Presently, Maurya is the VP of the ladies’ wing of the Congress in Uttar Pradesh.
