Islamabad: The oath ceremony of Pakistan’s new Federal Cabinet has been postponed after President Arif Alvi refused to administer the oath.The federal cabinet was scheduled to take oath on Tuesday.
Now, according to the sources familiar with development, it is likely that the new cabinet will take the oath on Tuesday or Wednesday, he informed Ary News.The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has 14 ministers and PPP 11 members in the Federal Cabinet of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The PML-N leader Marriyum Aurrangzeb had previously confirmed that the cabinet has been decided and announced on Tuesday. “It was a long process of consultations on the cabinet between the allied parts, which has been completed and will soon be announced,” added the PML-N leader.
Earlier this month, Dr. Alvi became ill only before the oath of the 23rd of the country’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif. The president complained about “discomfort” and left permission on Monday without any additional explanation.
