Chennai: The BJP Tamil Nadu unit which decided to test his strength by going alone had secured more than 230 posts in the election of the urban local agency.
BJP President K Annamalai claims that the party has reached the stage as the third largest party in the state of the current election. Professor R Srinivasan, one of the senior party leaders, said the results came as a moral booster.
“Wherever BJP does not have representatives, the party has made a breakthrough to those areas – Cuddalore, Vellore, Madurai, Chennai. In many places, BJP has lost a victory by a sleek margin,” Annamalai said to reporters.
Responding to the question, he claimed that the BJP Coimbatore had secured 15 percent of the vote.
“In Chennai, around 30 wards, the BJP candidate has finished as a runner said.
He also confirmed that the BJP Alliance with AIDMK will continue for the selection of Sabha 2024.
“Only because DMK has won in the Congken region in this election, it won’t be their fortress,” he said.
