Dubai: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said he did not care whether US President Joe Biden misunderstood things about him and said US leaders must think of American interests, in an interview to the Atlantic published Thursday.
The de facto ruler of the world’s top oil exporter, known as the MBS, also warned the United States not to disturb the internal affairs of the absolute monarchy.
“Simply put, I don’t care,” he said. It’s up to Biden “to think of American interests”, he said when asked if Biden misunderstood him.
“We don’t have the right to give your lecture in America,” he said. “The same thing in other ways.”
While the Crown Prince enjoyed a close relationship with former President Donald Trump, Biden had taken a harder attitude in the records of royal human rights and Yemen war where the Saudi LED coalition was involved since the beginning of 2015.
Biden Administration released a US intelligence report involving the Crown Prince of the Murder of 2018 Saudi Jamal Khashoggi Journalist, where MBS denied, and urged for the release of political prisoners.
Prince Mohammed told the Atlantic that the purpose of Riyadh was to maintain and strengthen the relationship between “long, historical” with America.
